JONI MITCHELL, THE GOO GOO DOLLS, and ME -- NOW PLAYING IN A THEATER NEAR YOU:

Along with the latest from Joni Mitchell, the Goo Goo Dolls, a new Gram Parsons compilation and more, my song "Man of Steel" will play between all shows in Laemmle, City Cinemas and Angelika Theaters nationwide during the month of November! The cover of my CD will be featured on screen. Hang out a few minutes before or after your film of choice to hear the tunes in action, then pick up a postcard in the lobby for $2 off my CD, "Love or Inertia," or the latest by any of the artists featured along with me. So you'll know what to look for, I've attached the sweet postcard. Email info@amyraasch.com for a list of theaters. Check it out!

NATIONAL RADIO PLAY...

Several songs from "Love or Inertia" are receiving national radio play in the Netherlands! Below is a review from what I'm told is a major magazine in those parts:

Amy Raasch 'Love or Inertia' (Amy Raasch/Hemifrån)

One tends to wonder why some artists gain so much attention and space, when others, equipped with both a more interesting expression and more intricate and better tunes, simply remain left out. Amy Raasch is a singer-songwriter who deserves more room than she gets, since she has a strong expression, a sharp voice, sometimes subtly brilliant lyrics with sharp notions. Even if there are many relevant references to be made both to Patti Griffin and Joni Mitchell, it reminds me a lot of another underrated, almost sadly passed by artist: Jane Siberry. Same unpredictability in the melodies, same kind of phrasing once in a while, yet more concrete than her; No apart bridges or breaks, but all together faithful to the expression that's hers; nothing needs to point out the artistry, because it's all there naturally, the strength, the art, the lyrics, the music. I really hope Amy Raasch becomes a name on, if not everyone's so at least some, lips.
