Les Plesko is the author of the recently released novel, "Slow Lie Detector." His previous book, "The Last Bongo Sunset" was critically acclaimed by The New Yorker and The New York Times. His stories appear in "Zyzzyva" and "Pear Noir!" He was the recipient of the UCLA Extension Outstanding Instructor Award in Creative Writing, 2002.

Lisa Douglass is a writer from Los Angeles. She's been published in "Transformations," the literary journal and "R-KV-R-Y," an online journal. Last year she won the First Place Prize for Fiction---the May Merrill Miller Award at UCLA for the first chapter of her book, "No Tell Motel." She studies creative writing at UCLA and is applying to MFA programs. Her influences include bad boys and tragedy, alcohol and fine literature.

Pamela August Russell's "B is for Bad Poetry" takes aim at not only the vicissitudes of love and life but the highfalutin tone and form of classical verse itself.

Rick Overton Rick comic, actor, and writer can currently be seen in Stephen Soderberg's "THE INFORMANT," starring Matt Damon.
