CAT BIRD COYOTE, an animated short film by Amy Raasch, screens as part of Portland Film Festival Wednesday, September 2.
Also an official selection of Rhode Island International Film Festival and Black Cat Picture Show, CAT BIRD COYOTE tells the story of wild creatures who struggle free of their human captors only to hunt and be hunted by each other in the wild. With its starkly beautiful, black and white imagery and an unconventional use of perspective, CAT BIRD COYOTE will also serve as the music video for experimental track "Breathe My Breath" from Raasch's forthcoming album GIRLS GET COLD. Music was produced by David Poe, with animation by Annie Award nominee Tahnee Gehm.
