KITTY DECIDES Video to Help Cats in Need by Cat Tipper

Thanks to Cat Tipper for this feature on the KITTY DECIDES trailer!

Shining a spotlight on celebrity cats, a multimedia artist/musician has just unleashed a tongue-in-cheek teaser trailer for a video that celebrates cat philanthropy.

Captured on camera by cinematographer Kelly Jones (famous for his vision for The Foo Fighters’ “White Limo” video) and featuring the toe-tapping and tail-thumping electro-pop beats produced by David Poe, the trailer for Amy Raasch’s upcoming campy clip marks the countdown to CatConLA, which takes place June 25 – 26 at The Reef in downtown Los Angeles.

Herself an adoptee, Amy Raasch has felt a kinship with cats and canines who need forever homes. A volunteer with Los Angeles area rescue groups, Raasch has witnessed firsthand the need to help the problem of pet overpopulation, and has seen that, while watching cat videos has become a popular pastime, the views often have no benefit for cats in need of care. This realization provided the inspiration for a vision of a one-touch donation button next to online animal videos, which would allow viewers to be just one click away from making a contribution to a cat cause.

Raasch hopes that “Kitty Decides” will inspire cat-loving video viewers to show their support for both national animal welfare organizations as well as small local rescue groups who need funds and volunteers. “Cats have an innate quirkiness, austere dignity, and complete lack of sense of humor that makes them hilarious!” Raasch states. “Why not give back to the creatures that provide so many with instant stress relief?”
